PG PLT 12/7/2016

We talked about our pace as we finish the end of semester.  We talked about changing where the label of a point is on the 4.2 test.  We did referrals for 4.2.

We did new referrals for RTI for standard 4.1.  We talked about our pacing for the rest of the semester.  We should be able to do referrals for 4.2 next Wednesday.

We talked about our pacing for the rest of the semester.  We will do RTI referrals for the 4.1 standard on 11/30/16.  We talked about giving benchmark test for math practice standard #3 after unit 5.  We also started creating the post test for the math practice standard #4 that we will give next year.

We talked about our pace for unit 4.  We did our placements for unit 3 RTI.  We will make referrals for Nov 30th for all or part of unit 4.  This might mean splitting up the unit 4 test by standard.

PG PLT Meeting 8/31/16

We talked about mathematical practice #3 and decided to do the pretest for it during unit 2.  We picked the second question to do mid-year.  We created the third question to give near the end of the school year and talked about the rubric.

PG PLT Meeting 8/17/16

We reviewed our PLT goals that were set at the end of last year based on recommendations from Audrey.  We talked about how kids will get assigned to RTI.  Amanda will share retake packets with us.  Download them to microsoft office so we can have good math formatting.  We also discussed union and intersection as the topics they will struggle with the most in unit 1.  For our next meeting, come with an idea of where you are pacing-wise in unit 1.

PG PLT Meeting 5/11/16

We looked at the final exam and linked questions to standards. We were chose to add questions for some standards and reduce the number for others.  Modifications were made accordingly.

The RTI specialist updated us on progress.

PG PLT Meeting 4/20/16

We discussed the new grading policy and how it will effect our practices.

We used data to determine who should be referred to RTI. Some will be referred this week and others will be referred next week. The RTI specialist updated us on the progress of students.

We looked at our final exam reviews to make sure we have interactive versions of assessments for each unit. We have at least one for each unit on Socrative. We also decided to explore a new interactive assessment site, Quizlet Live, at our next meeting.

Our RTI specialist updated us of the progress of students. We set a deadline for those still working on unit 6 standards. They should be done by this time next week. We looked at data and determined who should eb assigned to RTI for standards 7.1 and 7.2.

PG PLT Meeting 2/24/16

The PLT specialist updated us on the progress of students.

We compared timelines. We agreed it will be best to assess standards 7.1 & 7.2 together, then assess standard 7.3 separately at a later date. We should be ready to assign students to RTI for standards 7.1 & 7.2 at our next meeting. Students working in RTI on unit 6 standards will be removed if they are not done by that time.

We discussed ways that we present trigonometry (standard 7.3). We also shared projects that we use during the unit.

We compared timelines. We should all be assessing the first two standards before our next meeting.  Those that have already assessed Standard 1 are planning on retesting, based on results.  We will decide at the next meeting who to refer to RtI.

John shared a review assignment and 2 kahoots for Standard 1. We discussed other ways to review the properties and types of quadrilaterals.

We discussed timelines. Some have already begun assessing some of the Unit 6 standards. Others will do so next week. This will allow us to stagger when students are assigned, so they should get more individualized attention. Data was used to determine which of the students that have been assessed should be placed into RtI.

PG PLT 1/13/16

We discussed timelines. We will assess the standards separately this unit in order to address concerns sooner. This will allow us to assign students to RTI sooner. No students will be referred to RTI this week, but some will be assigned next week.

We discussed strategies for teaching the properties of quadrilaterals. We decided that we will again allow students to use a property chart on assessments for this unit.
